AI Art History

Do you know how much internet is in your AI? AI creative tools have learned about the world by devouring digitized information, much of which has come directly from the internet. When we ask AI to create something for us, from text to images and beyond, it’s important to remember that the AI artists or copywriters we’re employing only know about the world through information that has been digitized. Your creation will have been made by something that has never actually had a human experience, but has only read about them or seen pictures of them in digital form. We’re very quickly moving into a world where a vast amount of creativity that looks and feels human will be made by something that has no idea what it’s like to actually be a human.

This is a fundamental shift. As a person creating or consuming AI-generated creativity, how does it make you feel?
