Creating the weather with AI
Working with AI, I built an entire weather system for the Star Wars planet Tatooine.
And I created a website that generates forecast that updates every day.

I wanted to explore how I could work with AI to generate large amounts of data, and use that data for a delightful web experience.
AI and I wrote code that calculated the temperature, humidity, wind speed, and the path of Tatooine's two suns.
We then compiled that into a clever little animated chart,
and I made a design system that feels like it's a part of the Star Wars universe.
There's even an AI-generated outlook based on each day's weather.

As creative folks, it's easy to focus on the "generative" part of generative AI. But it's important to think deeply about the data that AI is modeled on. If we can give AI unique data sources, we can then generate really unique experiences for people. Using AI to create data was a fun way to connect a dataset to an experience.
